[06:13]<Calum> Hey
[06:13] * jacky sets mode: +o Calum
[06:13]<@jacky> Calum: Hello
[06:13]<@Calum> How goes it?
[06:14]<@jacky> doing ok. nothing too special. tnx
[06:14]<@jacky> yourself?
[06:14]<@Calum> Pretty good thanks
[06:14]<@Calum> can't complain heh
[06:14]<@jacky> how was holiday business? did it bump up?
[06:15]<@jacky> sure you can... but nobody will do anything about it. heh
[06:15]<@Calum> nope, I got offered another job though so I've taken that and quit with the shop
[06:15]<@Calum> bit of a change, but I really need a steady income more than ever
[06:15]<@jacky> understood. but that's a shame.... and what about your partner in the shop?
[06:16]<@Calum> it is a shame, but there's nothing stopping me maybe going back and doing it another time, in another place maybe. As for him, he's fine with it, he has a few other irons in the fire
[06:17]<@jacky> Oh. I figured it might have cost him some money, when you left... that he had to close and lost what he had invested
[06:17]<@jacky> that can cause hard feelings
[06:17]<@Calum> It more than likely did, but he's not been at all "off" with me or anything, he understands that if it's making little to no money, it's not a viable long term thing
[06:17]<@jacky> cool
[06:18]<@Calum> so I think he's looking at it from the point of view of cutting his losses
[06:18]<@jacky> ah
[06:18]<@jacky> very good
[06:18]<@jacky> like it was an "eventual" thing anyway
[06:18]<@jacky> so... is the new job also with computers?
[06:18]<@Calum> bit of a change if direction actually, it's more like project management - basically planning other people's days for them haha
[06:18]<@Calum> it sounds quite interesting actually
[06:19]<@jacky> you gotta be kidding... heheheh
[06:19]<@jacky> if they can't plan their own day, then they don't need to be in "management"
[06:19]<@jacky> hehehehe
[06:19]<@Calum> haha
[06:20]<@Calum> basically the company is an electrical and engineering contractor, so my role is like planning projects and managing anything that looks like it's slipping behind schedule, chasing people up to get things sorted, that kind of stuff
[06:20]<@jacky> contractor? buildings? construction?
[06:21]<@Calum> mechanical and electrical, sorry, not engineering
[06:21]<@jacky> cool
[06:21]<@jacky> what sort of stuff then, does your company build?
[06:22]<@Calum> they're quite a big company, they do things for airports, offshore, marine, and just general offices. They do a range of things like HVAC, communications, security systems/access control
[06:23]<@jacky> I hope the economy is strong enough to support them/you now then. :)
[06:23]<@Calum> they seem to be doing pretty well, they're taking on a few new staff
[06:23]<@jacky> as for things "slipping behind schedule"... hehehe... you'll always have job security there!
[06:23]<@Calum> my dad's friend works for them and has done for around 25 years, says they're a good place to work for
[06:23]<@Calum> haha, true!
[06:23]<@jacky> the communications and security stuff... is probably a lot of computer stuff now... so that is right up your alley
[06:24]<@jacky> as for hvac, you've never commented on that before... that might be greek to you
[06:24]<@jacky> ah... so that's how you got the job... you knew somebody on the inside. that's great!
[06:25]<@Calum> actually, it's not exactly that - he asked my dad if I might be interested, he was looking for someone for the role rather than just "getting me a job" if that makes sense
[06:25]<@Calum> it did help because I could do the interview quicker
[06:26]<@jacky> that's exactly what I meant. :)
[06:26]<@Calum> ah, fair enough
[06:27]<@jacky> by the way... it is 8:26 am here now... and I "woke up" the computer a bit ago. Should I go nuke a cup of water to make tea now? or should I continue to chat? (actually, I can do both). I need professional help planning such difficult things.....
[06:27]<@Calum> haha
[06:28]<@Calum> well, in my expert opinion, you should've woken up the computer a good half an hour ago, so you're fired
[06:28]<@jacky> I can get around that! I'll find some windows thing, that will do it on a schedule, and fake you out!!
[06:28]<@jacky> heh
[06:29]<@Calum> hah
[06:29]<@jacky> TV is syaing that we have a couple days of waaay above average temps
[06:29]<@jacky> :)
[06:29]<@jacky> how's it doing over there, so far?
[06:29]<@Calum> ah, nice...it's looking like snow soon, here
[06:30]<@jacky> you keep that!
[06:30]<@Calum> yesterday was very sunny, started off cold, warmed up quite a lot, then last night it froze. This morning, misty, freezing, and wet
[06:30]<@jacky> !w crapo
[06:30]<@Calum> 50% chance of snow was the forecast for the weekend I think, not sure what it is now
[06:30]<@Calum> !w derby uk
[06:30]<@jacky> that temp is just about the avg high for this time of year... so it will warm up more as the day goes by
[06:31]<@jacky> do: !forecast or !fc
[06:31]<@Calum> !fc derby uk
[06:31]<@jacky> there it is
[06:31]<@jacky> !fc crapo
[06:32]<@Calum> temperatures are really dropping again too, wow...low of -5 for monday, brrr
[06:32]<@jacky> see Sat and Sun?
[06:32]<@jacky> that's warm for us, this time of year
[06:32]<@Calum> nice
[06:32]<@jacky> well... four days in a row
[06:32]<@jacky> it is almost too early to start counting down. heeheh
[06:32]<@jacky> I dread this time of year
[06:32]<@jacky> we got past the holidays
[06:32]<@jacky> and the 1st
[06:33]<@jacky> now the days are getting longer
[06:33]<@jacky> so the next thing is March 1
[06:33]<@jacky> it just sounds warmer, in March
[06:33]<@jacky> hehehe
[06:33]<@Calum> heh
[06:33]<@jacky> the next 6 weeks or so, is when we can get it.. either a spell of cold, or snow
[06:33]<@jacky> and I don't like either
[06:33]<@jacky> anymore
[06:33]<@jacky> !sky derby uk
[06:34]<@jacky> !sky crapo
[06:34]<@jacky> wow.. you are gaining 2 min per day already. hehehehe
[06:34]<@Calum> you do have nearly 2 hours more daylight than us right now though
[06:35]<@jacky> yep
[06:35]<@jacky> but we gain slower
[06:35]<@Calum> ah right
[06:35]<@jacky> and by June 20, you will have waaay more daylight per day
[06:35]<@jacky> I think you are about the same latitude(is that the right one?) as New Brunswick or Nova Scotia
[06:36]<@jacky> in other words: way north of me
[06:36]<@Calum> I see
[06:36]<@jacky> !sky prudhoe bay, alaska
[06:36]<@jacky> hahaha
[06:36]<@Calum> hah
[06:36]<@Calum> wow
[06:36]<@jacky> <&ChanbotVI> Sunrise: 12:30 PM AKST
[06:36]<@jacky> <&ChanbotVI> Sunset: 1:35 PM AKST
[06:37]<@jacky> it comes up, for lunch break
[06:37]<@jacky> hehe
[06:37]<@Calum> hah
[06:37]<@jacky> just a week or so ago, it would have been nothing
[06:37]<@jacky> so... are you at work now? or having a day off?
[06:38]<@Calum> I start on monday, the 14th
[06:38]<@jacky> ah
[06:38]<@jacky> is shop closed now?
[06:38]<@Calum> it is
[06:38]<@jacky> all emptied out?
[06:38]<@Calum> yep
[06:38]<@jacky> so you have a few days of thumb twiddling
[06:38]<@jacky> hehe
[06:38]<@jacky> oh!
[06:38]<@jacky> did you move into new place yet?
[06:38]<@jacky> I've lost track....
[06:38]<@Calum> playing with new toys is more like it heh
[06:38]<@Calum> yeah, we moved at the end of Nov
[06:39]<@jacky> cool
[06:39]<@jacky> how is it? liking it?
[06:39]<@Calum> yeah, it's nice, we're settled in and sorted now
[06:39]<@Calum> very little left to do
[06:41]<@jacky> Well... since you have this time off... you should have EVERYTHING done around the house, huh?
[06:41]<@jacky> <g>
[06:41]<@Calum> haha

[12:06]<@Mulreay> Hi guys
[12:07]<@BC_Programming> hullo Mulreay
[12:07]<@BC_Programming> I added a bugtracker for my stuffs :D http://tracker.bc-programming.com/my_view_page.php
[12:07]<@Mulreay> I said 'guys' not you... always looking for attention you arent you!!
[12:07]<@BC_Programming> Yes... Yes I am
[12:07]<@Mulreay> cool
[12:08]<@BC_Programming> first I installed this thing called webissues
[12:08]<@BC_Programming> but that didn't even let the public view it
[12:08]<@BC_Programming> which kind of defeats the purpose methinks
[12:09]<@Mulreay> Not really had much experience... how will it benefit?
[12:09]<@Mulreay> You that is
[12:09]<@BC_Programming> the idea is to make an actual bugtracke
[12:10]<@BC_Programming> bugtracker
[12:10]<@BC_Programming> nobody will likely use it since few people actually use my stuff but at least I can say I have one
[12:10]<@BC_Programming> and I can file bugs I find on my own there too heh
[12:10]<@Mulreay> Cool
[12:11]<@BC_Programming> meanwhile I also have a completely automatic reed farm in my Single Player Minecraft world :D
[12:12]<@BC_Programming> it just fills up with reeds on it's own
[12:12]<@BC_Programming> I did the same with a chicken farm... that went perhaps too well
[12:12]<@BC_Programming> 30 single-chests all full of freakin eggs
[12:12]<@Mulreay> I would ask how it works as in is it embedded in the software or is it a user generated report but that would be just causing you more work to explain
[12:12]<@BC_Programming> it's neither
[12:13]<@BC_Programming> it's more or less a "if you find bugs, go here plz" thing
[12:13]<@Mulreay> ahh
[12:13]<@Mulreay> so kinda user generated
[12:13]<@BC_Programming> I'll probably link the download entry for some of the stuff I have to existing Bugtracker projects as I make them
[12:16] * camerongray (camerongra@mib-9BE237AF.dyn.plus.net) Quit (Quit: camerongray)
[12:20]<@Mulreay> Craig_2 when your about I need to speak to you pls
[12:20]<@Mulreay> nice job BC_Programming
[12:21]<@BC_Programming> I didn't write it... just to be clear on that
[12:21]<@Mulreay> of course
[12:21]<@BC_Programming> I would have given it a much better name
[12:21]<@Mulreay> Bear Bugger?
[12:21]<@BC_Programming> see there you go
[12:22]<@BC_Programming> "Bugger buddy"
[12:24]<@Mulreay> A Husband and Wife decided they need to use a "code" to indicate that they wanted to have sex without lettingtheir children in on it. They decided on the word typewritter. One day the husband told his 5 year old daughter "Go tell your mum that daddy needs to type a letter". The child told her mum what her dad said, and her mum responded, "Tell your dad that he can't type a letter right now
[12:24]<@Mulreay> cos there is a red ribbon in the typewritter". The child went back to tell her dad what mum said. A few day's later the mum told the daughter, "Tell dad he can type that letter now". The child told her dad, returned to her mum a said "Dad said never mind with the typewritter, he's already written the letter by hand...!!!
[12:24]<@BC_Programming> heh
[12:25]<@Mulreay> I did correct some spelling as I copied and pasted obviuosly but got bored searching
[12:25]<@Mulreay> obviously* now there's irony
[12:27]<@BC_Programming> hmm
[12:27]<@BC_Programming> TNT carts don't save
[12:27]<@BC_Programming> must report to mojang immediately
[12:27]<@Mulreay> JEB how very fecking dare you SORT IT NOW! sort of thing?
[12:28]<@BC_Programming> Should i check to see if somebody reported it already
[12:28]<@BC_Programming> NO
[12:28]<@BC_Programming> it is too important for such things
[12:28]<@BC_Programming> like the hopper duplication bug which ironically was duplicated 100 times
[12:30]<@BC_Programming> but dayum

[12:32]<@Mulreay> I'll join the club your starting BC_Programming no problem
[12:32]<@BC_Programming> club you say
[12:32]<@Mulreay> Hares are our friends
[12:32]<+camerongray> Ahh, not played in AGES
[12:32]<@Mulreay> Feck rabbits
[12:32]<@BC_Programming> hey don't pull my hare
[12:33]<@BC_Programming> I made a fully automated reed farm
[12:33]<@BC_Programming> don't have to do <anything> at all, it all just fills up mah chest
[12:33]<@BC_Programming> and when the chest is full it puts it in a storage cart which goes down to another storage room and puts it there and then comes back
[12:33]<@Mulreay> It would of cost less to use 'my' just saying
[12:34]<@BC_Programming> I know but then I wouldn't pass along the southern drawl I intended I reckon
[12:34]<@Mulreay> Would that not mean you start speaking in french?
[12:36]<@BC_Programming> I thought we were talkin about Rabbits... not frogs

[16:10]<@BC_Programming> like wut
[16:11]<@BC_Programming> ban lucifer for no reason?
[16:11]<@BC_Programming> no no, let's not indulge in that
[16:12]<@Mulreay> I was thinking make a huge tower of hate but it went down rather than up... just so Hell is can get first dibs
[16:12]<@BC_Programming> made out of quartz
[16:12]<@BC_Programming> because quartz rules
[16:12]<@Mulreay> Nah, made out of tears
[16:13]<@BC_Programming> close enough
[16:14]<@Mulreay> I could make a side tunnel made out of faulse promises
[16:14]<@Mulreay> and bad spellinggs
[16:15]<@BC_Programming> yes, lined with the incorrect answers to test questions
[16:15]<@BC_Programming> and failing report cards
[16:15]<@BC_Programming> and friendly monkeys interposed with angry clowns
[16:16]<@Mulreay> I think we have something
[16:16]<@BC_Programming> oh and there can be a few pictures of koala bears on fire
[16:17]<@Mulreay> OK calm down.. Koala's are like very cute
[16:17]<@BC_Programming> well yeah exactly
[16:17]<@BC_Programming> But they aren't welcome in hell because they run the pool tables
[16:17]<@BC_Programming> bloody husslers
[16:20]<@Mulreay> I could handle a few firey twigs and trees as the death of things but killing Mammals seems harsh. Can we kill a connoly of Ants so the numbers work out?
[16:20]<@BC_Programming> This is hell, not picnic time
[16:20]<@BC_Programming> that's next week
[16:21]<@BC_Programming> oh wow, that's a rather interesting spam translation error
[16:21]<@BC_Programming> apparently I could impress Aristotle with the size of my member if I act now
[16:21]<@BC_Programming> you can't make that stuff up
[16:22]<@Mulreay> heh
[16:23]<@BC_Programming> there are a few spam mails that seem to reference Aristotle
[16:23]<@BC_Programming> must be a new spam strategy

[16:23]<@BC_Programming> one of them has the subject "Aristotle Buggered" which I have to say doesn't exactly make me want to read it further
[16:24]<@Mulreay> I like Aristotle but not that much
[16:25]<@BC_Programming> I tend to agree
[16:25]<@BC_Programming> the like has to be drawn, just like Plato drew the line with Socrates
[16:25]<@BC_Programming> that's why it's called Platonic
[16:26]<@Mulreay> indeed
[16:26]<@BC_Programming> he put his foot down and said, there shall be no more buggering
[16:26]<@BC_Programming> Aristotle locked himself in his room for a month or so
[16:26]<@BC_Programming> or rather socrates
[16:26]<@BC_Programming> eh maybe they were all there
[16:26]<@Mulreay> Probably
[16:27]<@Mulreay> God made sure
[16:27]<@BC_Programming> And then Aristotle said unto his subjects, "GO TO Fuschal!" and flew away on a pink pegasus
[16:29]<@Mulreay> I do like a flyey horse
[16:30]<@BC_Programming> Rainbow Dash was Plato's favourite
[16:30]<@Mulreay> Agreed

[16:30]<@BC_Programming> pegadog
[16:30]<@BC_Programming> though it sort of sounds like a dog with three wooden legs

[18:33]<searay330> BC_Programming, you where not amused
[18:34]<@BC_Programming> what?
[18:45]<searay330> nothing it was a joke
[18:53]<searay330> hey BC_Programming you mod minecraft or make plug ins?
[18:53]<@BC_Programming> the latter
[18:53]<@BC_Programming> sometimes
[18:54]<searay330> i want to make something but am unsure what to classify it as
[18:58]<@BC_Programming> well explain it and I can try to help
[18:59]<@BC_Programming> in general a plugin usually refers to a server side thing, which controls most of the game, except for adding things like new blocks or items, or certain new behaviours to existing blocks
[18:59]<searay330> there arent enough trees in the server so i was going to make a thing to incrase the chance of sapling drop and make it so trees spread naturally like in the real world
[19:00] * Nat (natman97@mib-642FCA28.socal.res.rr.com) has joined #glitchpc
[19:00]<@BC_Programming> I think that could be a plugin, but I'm not sure if tekkit like really allows for plugins, I can't recall
[19:00]<@BC_Programming> tekkit lite*
[19:00]<searay330> tux told to me to use a forge hook
[19:01]<searay330> but i am unsure if the api allows for it
[19:01]<@BC_Programming> I don't know the specifics but I'm pretty sure there is a hook for leaf decay
[19:01]<@BC_Programming> eg when a leaf decays on it's own
[19:01]<searay330> but about the spread
[19:02]<@BC_Programming> you can probably catch when items despawn, and then when a sapling despawns on an empty piece of dirt or grass, it could put a sapling there
[19:07]<searay330> but despawning requires players
[19:07]<@BC_Programming> yes
[19:07]<@BC_Programming> but so does having the chunk loaded and accessible to begin with
[19:08]<searay330> i wanted if chunk loaded then roll dice 1-24 if roll is 6 then plant sap 3 block away if dirt something like that
[19:08]<searay330> or do a check like every 20 million ticks
[19:17]<@BC_Programming> check for what?
[19:18]<@BC_Programming> I guess what you are going for is something like that "Nature overhaul" mod?
[19:19]<@BC_Programming> ...sigh... I just updated my Bukkit to the latest dev build and my plugin has 100+ Errors :(
[19:20]<@BC_Programming> hmm actually these might be easy to resolve
[19:21]<@BC_Programming> must avoid urge to use asterisk import
[19:33]<@BC_Programming> or there could be 43 left that practically require a rewrite
[19:33]<@BC_Programming> dammit all
[19:37]<@BC_Programming> Wow
[19:37]<@BC_Programming> Just... Wow
[19:37]<@BC_Programming> bukkit really <censored> up here

[19:44]<@BC_Programming> they just completely broke my freaking plugin
[19:45]<@BC_Programming> I can't believe I wasted so much of my life on it
[19:45]<@BC_Programming> Well Bukkit is Open Source so the management style of "let's screw everybody that depends on us" should hardly surprise me
[19:50]<@BC_Programming> I am so pissed off right no
[19:50]<@BC_Programming> now*

[19:51]<Tux2> lol, right?
[19:51]<@BC_Programming> there are like a million bloody ItemStack imports, it's like musical chairs

[19:52]<@BC_Programming> 404 applicability not found

[19:52]<@BC_Programming> (to the link)
[19:53]<@BC_Programming> mine uses CraftItemStacks, CraftCreepers, CraftPigZombies, etc everywhere
[19:53]<Tux2> Ugh...
[19:53]<@BC_Programming> 199 errors originally
[19:53]<@BC_Programming> got it down to 52
[19:54]<Tux2> Yikes!
[19:54]<@BC_Programming> hmm actually I thin this ItemMeta think is designed to do exactly what my "ItemNamer" class does, and more
[19:55]<@BC_Programming> well that's weird, commenting out a well-used class actually reduced the number of total errors, lol
[19:55]<Tux2> lol
[19:56]<@BC_Programming> I only use the statics, which in turn use the containing class, so I should be able to replace it with the appropriate calls to deal with ItemMeta
[19:59]<@BC_Programming> thankfully the Craft<blah> stuff I can deal with by changing imports
[19:59]<@BC_Programming> might be able to refactor it since I mostly had to use those classes to get at the NBT data
[19:59]<@BC_Programming> or rather MetaData
[20:00]<@BC_Programming> Want to get it ready for the next version because you'll be able to name mobs

[20:00]<@BC_Programming> "Bob the Zombie"
[20:00]<Tux2> lol
